Stoneware Mug
$28.00 USD
Three hundred millilitres, which is a mug of coffee rather than the half-litre bucket that has become normal. Thick-walled so it holds heat, with a reactive glaze that breaks over the rim and the handle so no two come out identical. Fired high enough to go in a dishwasher without the glaze going dull.
- 300ml — a mug, not a bucket
- Thick wall, so the last mouthful is still warm
- Reactive glaze, so no two are identical

Materials
Stoneware clay fired to 1,260°C with a reactive ash glaze. High firing is what makes stoneware dishwasher-safe; a low-fired earthenware mug in the same shape would craze within a year.
Care
Dishwasher and microwave safe. The glaze pooling inside the base is intentional and will not wear. If it picks up coffee staining in the crazing, a soak in bicarbonate lifts it.
